I'm passionate about supporting students of all ages, and my journey has led me to connect with children, teens, and young adults in a variety of ways. I spent twenty years as a classroom teacher, where I loved sparking curiosity and building relationships with students. That connection is at the heart of everything I do.
My newest endeavor is writing Dear Anxiety, a children's book designed to help kids understand and cope with anxiety through playful language. The book includes bonus pages that give children a chance to express their own fears and worries, which I believe helps them feel empowered and understood. Every child deserves to feel supported, heard, and seen, and I’m honored to be a part of their emotional growth.
Overwhelming feelings can be difficult at any age, and another way I support youth is by speaking at high schools about suicide awareness and prevention. I work to help students realize that there are always resources available when they feel down and alone. My mission is to create open conversations, encourage students to seek help, and reduce stigma associated with suicide and mental health challenges.

Teaching driver's ed to teens while emphasizing the importance of road safety, defensive driving, and avoiding distractions is another way I connect with our youth. It's an area I'm incredibly passionate about, as I want to contribute to creating safer, informed drivers. I emphasize to every class how we will bring change to our roads!
When I'm not working with students, I'm enjoying time outdoors. As a veteran, I bring a unique perspective to my work, and I love playing golf—even though my ball tends to stray into the woods! Traveling is also something I enjoy, and I believe every new experience is a chance to learn and grow.
No matter the setting, my goal is always to make a difference, spark growth, and offer support wherever it's needed.
